Difference between the FUT and FUE techniques

What is the difference between the FUT and FUE techniques?

Both techniques have the same goal: obtaining follicular grafts that are ready to be transplanted in tiny incisions. The way we get them, however, is different. FUT starts with the removal of a strip, which is then cut into slivers under a microscope. Grafts are then isolated and ordered according to their composition. As far as the FUE technique is concerned, we use micro punches with a diameter of 0.8 to 1.1 mm. These punches cut the skin on the half upper part of the grafts, these are then extracted by traction.
