Dr. Barbara Montesanti is a passionate venous vascular surgeon specializing in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. Among other things, she is dedicated to beautifying women and men. Safety is her main concern, and she only performs techniques that have been scientifically published and validated by a consensus of recognized medical experts. Aseptic and sterile conditions are paramount, and protocols are standardized.
Botulinum toxin injections are used to treat wrinkles caused by facial expressions (glabella, crow's feet, forehead...). The toxin has the effect of blocking the muscles responsible for wrinkles, thereby attenuating or even erasing them. The treatment is effective for 4 to 6 months.
Hyperhidrosis: Botox can also be used for excessive underarm perspiration. See our page on l'hyperhidrosis to find out more.
Hyaluronic acid injections
It's a natural component of the skin's extra-cellular matrix that can be used synthetically to fill in or reduce wrinkles, but also to restore volume to certain areas.
Examples of areas to be treated: cheekbones, lips, nasolabial folds, bitterness folds, treatment of dark circles, medical rhinoplasty... but also, and above all, treatment of the face as a whole, with complete restructuring of the middle and lower thirds.
Hyaluronic acid injections must ensure that the patient retains a natural face. That's why it's so important to be injected by a specialist who can harmonize your face. The injection is not painful and is not dangerous if carried out by competent doctors. Small bruises may appear immediately after the injection, due to the needle.
Acid is a natural product, so it is degraded over time by the body. The duration of the treatment depends on the product used, the injection technique and the patient's own capacity for degradation. On the whole, it is recommended to repeat the treatment 1 to 2 times a year.
Peels are an integral part of comprehensive skin care and rejuvenation. Skin radiance is one of the pillars of beauty. That's why Dr. Montesanti offers a range of peels to suit every patient's specific needs.
She works with simple peels that can be performed by applying a glycolic acid solution to remove superficial skin layers, induce cell regeneration and stimulate collagen production to fade certain superficial imperfections (spots, certain scars, dilated pores).
Treatment to tone, firm and restore radiance to skin damaged by sun, cold or excessive smoking.
The treatment can be applied to areas such as the face or décolleté.
Mesolift involves injecting a mixture of vitamins, trace elements and minerals into the dermis using a syringe fitted with a very fine needle. These products stimulate microcirculation, oxygenation and collagen production. Effects begin to be visible after several days or even w
Your skin is more even-toned, more colorful, better moisturized and tauter. For long-lasting results, we recommend four sessions a fortnight apart, and a maintenance session every 2-3 months to keep your complexion brighter and your skin toned.
The risk of side-effects is low, with some minor bruising lasting two to three days after treatment, and more rarely a risk of allergy to an injected product causing localized redness.
Tensor threads aim to restore tension to sagging areas of skin on the face and neck, and to support sagging subcutaneous tissue. They aim to produce a "lifting" effect without surgery, thanks to the implantation of threads (generally notched or fitted with attachment points) under the skin. In this way, it is possible to combat the sagging of the face that sets in with age (ptosis), by "pulling up" the sagging skin. Threading requires a local anaesthetic, which is generally well tolerated.
Varicose vein sclerosis
The Doctor can also take care of your legs, in some cases by sclerosing varicose and spider veins.
Her main specialty is venous vascular surgery, but she can also take care of you and advise you on other treatments if necessary.
Varicose vein sclerosis is an outpatient procedure. The procedure is not very painful. In some cases, small bruises and hematomas may appear at the injection site.
Wearing compression stockings for 1 week is strictly recommended to increase the effectiveness of sclerotherapy and reduce bruising.
Several sessions are often required, and are only available between early October and the end of March.
Minor dermatological surgery
Dr. Montesanti can also perform minor outpatient surgeries under local anesthesia, such as:
- Naevus excision
- Removal of sebaceous cysts
